The Professional Training in Arts Technology is a non-credit program designed to provide intensive arts-related digital technology training and is intended for the arts professional who wants to intergrate the computer into their creative process, but doesn't need University credit. University admission is not required.

Accessible and affordable, the instruction is provided by highly qualified and professional faculty from the College of Fine Arts. Whether you are looking for a change in careers, or just upgrading your skills for the new millennium, this is your opportunity to learn modern computer-based creative technologies in our state-of-the-art computing facilities at the University of Utah.

Convenient evening classes and intensive daytime workshops are focused on hands-on software training and practical projects that build a solid foundation in each of the areas of study. Small class sizes and individualized attention during project work allows you to make the most of your time with the instructors.

Registration Information:

Registration is handled through the U of U Continuing Education website or you can link from any of the individual pages in this site. You can also register by phone at (801) 581-6461 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday though Friday.

Additional benefits include:

  • While enrolled in these classes, you become eligible for special educational discounts on computer hardware and many popular software packages.
  • You will have access to other computing facilities provided by the University of Utah outside of regular class hours, if you need them.
